Crabbed shell ROV collected from 168 metres west of Coral Bay during April 2024.

Super rare volute with few known specimens. We have collected three crabbed specimens in the past 15 years and do not think a live specimen has ever been collected. Very dead shell but a species that is present in very few collections.

A creamy colored shell with a chipped lip and nacre etching.
