Attractive sherylae collected in June 2012 by Andrew Edinger at Point Quobba in Shark Bay. Collected from a blue Spirastrella sponge in 34 metres of water. The original data tag accompanies the shell and a photo is attached.
The shell has a pretty dorsum with dark chocolate brown spots on a bluish dorsum. Sherylae were collected in number during the 1990'ties but since the hot water events approximately ten years ago, they have only been found in very limited numbers. It is now difficult to obtain specimens with this fresh dark appearance.
It has perfect siphons and is graded Fine +++ due to a growth irregularity on its labial dorsum.
Very heavy flared shell !!!
