Exceptional shell with brown marks superimposed on a chevron patterned dorsum.

Magic gold / dark tan rufinistic base with apricot margin callous with black spots and black / gold siphon trim. Collected a from geodia sponge in 96 metres of water west of Dirk Hartog Island off Shark Bay in May 2023.

Graded Fine++ as it has a dorsal growth fold and a small white inclusion in the nacre above it's posterior siphon. This is indicated by a green arrow in the accompanying dorsal photo. These issues are reflected in the shells price which would have been considerably higher it the shell was gem.
