This monster was trawled by locals from sand and rubble in 140 metres of water at Isle De Pines in New Caledonia.

A striking shell with rows of thorns on the shoulder, the spire and protoconch is intact as is the lovely gem lip and canal.

A true beauty of the deep, graded Fine+++ due to growth defect near the lip.
