Caroli is a rare form of maculata that differs from typical inshore shells by being heavier, very white with orange tan dashes and a lower spire. It is quite stubby compared to the typical shells. Usually only available from old collections as is the origin of this specimen. 

Trawled from 120 metres of water on a sandy bottom at Cape Moreton, Southern Queensland, Australia.

Graded Fine+++ as it has some nacre erosion near the spire and a tiny drill hole.
